Brooklyn Juke Joint: One Night Only
About this event

BROOKLYN JUKE JOINT

Kick off Haitian Heritage Month with Brooklyn Juke Joint—an immersive celebration of Black joy as resistence.

Rooted in the spirit of Haiti's 1804 independence — when the nation became a beacon of liberation, welcoming free Black people and escaped slaves — this experience honors a legacy of freedom, culture, and unity.

The evening will feature leading voices of the Haitian-American diaspora performing covers and original music across Soul, R&B, Kompa, Soca, Zouk, Afrobeat, Reggae, and Dancehall. Expect a rich fusion of Afro-Caribbean and American sounds, alongside live poetry and eclectic DJs.
